Bocuse has made many contributions to French gastronomy both directly and indirectly, because he has had numerous students, many of whom have become famous chefs themselves.

Technical visit

Two different technical visits are organized on Thursday, 2 June 2016 with a shuttle service departing from the Lyon Conference Center.

1/ONERA Modane Center (Full day)

07:00: Departure by bus from the Conference Center, Lyon

10:00: Arrival at the ONERA Modane Center

10:30: Visit of the Large Wind Tunnels for the Aerospace Industry

13:00: Lunch

17:00: Arrival to the Conference Center, Lyon

Research at ONERA meets the major challenges of the aerospace and defense industries.
It is the only organization in France gathering all the knowledge and skills in these areas. The ONERA test centre of Modane-Avrieux offers a large suite of wind tunnels envied by those who picture them only from afar. Snuggled up in the heart of Alpine region of Savoy, you will visit the most powerful transonic wind tunnel in the world, this, together with 8 very specialized facilities, some of them used for acoustic applications and developments.

Please note that access to ONERA can only be granted upon former registration.

Please be reminded that your ID will be requested. You shall not be allowed to attend the technical visit without valid ID (passport).
